The H.pylori Antigen Rapid Test is a rapid, visual immunochromatographic test for the qualitative detection of Helicobacter Pylori antigen in fecal samples. H. pylori bacteria is a common chronic bacterial infection, and often doesn’t present any symptoms. However, those with symptoms often have abdomen pains, nausea, loss of appetite, bloating, tar-coloured stools, and may develop stomach ulcers. Serious cases may even lead to stomach cancer.

DESCRIPTION

Helicobacter pylori is a corkscrew-shaped, gram-negative rod that lives in the mucous layer of the stomach. H. pylori infection is now accepted as the most common cause of gastritis, and is etiologically involved in gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastric adenocarcinoma and primary gastric B-cell lymphoma. This organism is very common, and has infected at least half of the world population.
